It's a bespoke custom build don't forget.

The thing I always wonder about these sorts of cabin / wheelhouse modifications is what the early designs that got rejected looked like - and the thought process that went into deciding that "this" was the best one .

.....of course when finished the owner is usually the happy one, as not only is he dry and warm - but also the only one who rarely sees it!

This photo, taken from the gallery of a boat for sale ad, made me lol. (You will have to click to enlarge and might have to look closely at this picture):

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

Having just bought a boat, this is still fresh in my mind. Here are a few other things people include with their ads:

- post pictures from 30 years ago when the boat was brand new.
- post pictures from the manufacturers brochure with those beautiful models.
- post pictures of boats for sale in, say Kenosha, with palm trees all around.
- post pictures of themselves or their dogs.

Could it also be the significant other's ultimatum, hence reason for the sale?

I actually could use a couple of signs like that on my boat.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

Theres a guy here with an 18 ft fishing boat in good condition, 2005. Asking price 57,500. Nice boat, but i could buy a used 40 footer for his price. Oh, he just lowered the price, i forgot - to 55,000. I think it will be on the market for a very long time.

Appeasing the wife! "Yes, dear, I put it up for sale... But I can use it in the meantime, right?"

A new Grady White with all the options can cost over 200k in that size range. Who knows it might be a steal.

Plenty of room for more wiring additions on that boat.

This is the advertised picture:

This is the actual boat:

Not even the same boat. Either that or the pics are so old the owner has since changed the canvas and let the brightwork flake away.

This is the same boat we saw that I mentioned in the "Brokers and False Advertising" thread where they claimed the boat was "turnkey" and in "excellent condition".

Here's some other pics:

I think there's a chance it's the same boat. The advertised picture must be much older.

The red (registration?) sticker on the mast looks the same in both pictures and what looks to be an instrument panel box on the pedestal looks the same.

I agree, false advertising. They really need to use current pictures on these things.
