Real men sailing?

Hmm, dunno..Plenty of ladies doing it too: Many of them have more guts than "real men".

Yeah, I agree to the irony of working night and day to pay big bills for a big house and 3 cars..Then ya die.

Maggie & I make one good sailor, between us. She never gets scared, and I never get sick.

Others work day and night to pay big bills to buy and keep a boat.
If only could have just 5% of that adrenalin seaking spirit you have. My heart was pumping, but it wasn't for quite the same reason your seeking.
Interesting though. I feel alive all the time. I know of others that are so bored with life, they have to have that rush to feel alive. I have the rush most of the time and wish I could be more like "normal" folks. So who is the more forunate of the two of us?? Honestly, I am asking a real question here.

Buying the sailboat recently has been more than therapeutic. Sailng (of course) is great but the mind exercise of working and puttering on the odd jobs is also very enjoyable and is way more fun than mowing grass.

A buddy of mine was complaining of being bored and so I invited him out to help on the boat projects I was doing yesterday.

I was overhauling the bilge pump and he asked what else needed to be done. I told him I planned to tighten the alternator belt and clean the engine compartment. He said, "That sounds like fun." So he did all the dirty stuff and now the belt is tight and the engine bay is sparkly.

He asked to come back today - Maybe I'll give him a toothbrush and some polish and get all the brightwork cleaned up - LOL

PS - I tried Coke once and the bubbles really messed up my sinuses
