Not that I've heard, anything specific about the boat at least.
But the rumblings that something is right about the whole case is very much alive and well.

Scott Watson has petitioned the Governor General for a pardon under Section 406 of the Crimes Act.. On 31 October he sent off a 22 page letter in which he wrote that the case against him had “dissolved” since his conviction. The letter summarises the main points in each chapter of Trial By Trickery, which, along with the film Murder On The Blade?, he included as the text of his petition.

the Governor General appears to be a master of delaying tactics as he has yet to reply to Scott's petition. But did hear a wisper that 2 weeks after the GG received the petition, the Appeal Court was looking into the case again "in secret"

Who is Scott Watson and why should I care?? The newspaper goes on and on about his new legal team and reccomendations of the review board but doesn't tell anything about his crime except that it involved the murder to two people. Sounds like a case of another murderer trying to get his sentence reduced for dubious reasons.

Roverhi, it isn't relevant to you if you don't want it to be, you don't have to care, some do, others don't. Just another case of the law making someone fit the crime rather than solving the case or even looking for the truth. It happens in NZ just as it does in the USA.

OOps, my bad. Didn't realize the computer had opened up the thread on page two so all I saw was the first post on page two which was lacking in almost any details. The linked newspaper article gave almost no information. Just discovered the first page of this thread that gives a lot of the background.
