Seen any plastic on beaches lately?

I have been shocked at the increase of plastic bits and pieces on a somewhat remote beach in Queensland Australia. Been visiting the area once or twice a year for over a dozen years. Last couple of years the amount of plastic has jumped up.

The beach in my picture used to be pristine, well, almost pristine, there always was a few pieces of rubbish to be found. I just can't believe how much there is now. Anyone else been noticing an increase in plastics?

Louis
