Shameless use of the VHF

On Sunday I heard the most shameless use of the VHF 16 ever. On the ICW near Merritt Island, FL a couple of times someone transmitted a political add for Obama. Of course this might backfire as it pisses people off enough they may just vote for McCain.

Where's Reagan when you need him?

Whats the ICW? Where is Obama and are the prices cheap? I'd go for McCain too if they are juicy and no added fat. Sorry, I don't know the other one.

I doubt very seriously that the Obama campaign placed ads on the VHF so this was the act of some idiot on the water and not a presidential candidate. Making a voting choice for a president based on this is a bit far fetched.

Actually, pretty sure it's illegal to use public radio for such messages.

But, oh well....

Who cares? I'm voting for Sarah Palin

Probably the same person who peeled my Mc Cain sticker off of my vehicle while parked at the marina. Just takes a few idiots to make the whole lot appear bad.

I received the following e-mail insert a few days ago and initially thought it was a pro Obama news report... it was given as actually being one but have doubts about that but truth is often strange:

WALKING EAGLE
Whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, you might enjoy reading this .

'Walking Eagle' Senator BARACK OBAMA was invited to address a major gathering of the American Indian Nation two weeks ago in upstate New York. HE spoke for almost an hour on HIS future plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living, should HE one day become the President. HE referred to his career as a Senator, how he had signed 'YES' for every Indian issue that came to his desk for approval.

Although the Senator was vague on the details of his plan, he seemed most enthusiastic about his future ideas for helping his 'red sisters and brothers'. At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name - Walking Eagle.

The proud Senator then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds.
A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they came to select the new name given to the Senator.

They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of **** it can no longer fly.

Based on that I personally know of several potential nominees for Walking Falcons, Osprey and Sea Gulls....

Instead of spreading it around, try researching it.

Snopes says it's false.

truthorfiction says it was false when it was said about Hillary Clinton, and again false now when said about Obama.

UrbanLegends say it was false when it was said about GW Bush in 2004.

Methinks that the partisan politics might better be reserved for the professional pundits and editorializers, and such.
Accordingly, I'll close this thread.
