Keep it up guys, this is fun!

I've now started my latest adventure and am typing this out on the beach in Subic Bay. Won't be here long, just a day or so before I head further South in search of nicer beaches and even nicer crew.

Thomas

Golden retriever looking for love

I'm living aboard with my wife but we have a loving golden retriever that would love to find a playing companion.

Check out his life as a dog living aboard.

Still thinking about raising the roof? Sounds like a big project, especially after all the work you've been doing. Your boat-buying process was one of those that I read through when I first found this site, so I'll also be interested to follow how you'll go about selecting and installing an AP option. Yes, it's true: your boat has its very own internet stalker.

LOL -- the office got in a few copies of Saga Magazine, since someone told the boss we should advertise there. Flipped to the ads section and one titled Owl seeks Pussycat, in which a gentleman and said he "owned several boats." That could mean so many things. Really do need very detailed pictures of the boats!

Pictures, Thomas, pictures! Sending you best wishes for enjoying those beaches and luring in that blue-eyed crew.

Cebu Pacific airlines lost my bags! All my clothes, my meds, gifts for friends, the whole shebang, poof gone! The only thing I had on me was my trusty lap top. Sorry about the lack of pics, now you know why. One more day in these clothes and they will be able to stand up and walk on their own, hence the trip to the mall.

Yes, Jeepneys galore. I even rode in one today, it was fun. Hot, but fun. Did I mention it was hot here? Very hot. Having a great time though.

Having traveled to many 3rd world countries in my life I find this one to be far cleaner than most. Not near the trash as say...Romania, which often looks like one huge trash pit. The Philippines are pretty clean, cleaner than some places in the states I've seen. The curious thing about that is I see very few trash receptacles around! Curious that!

The people are very friendly and have been very nice to me. I haven't seen many European types here, not sure why. I was in a mall today, and this little boy came up to me and just stared. LOL I just smiled, so finally he smiled and ran off. The food is quite a mixture of many cultures. Who would have thought there would be so many Asians here?

The younger women are often drop down dead gorgeous. Now, if only I can find some crew...ya' know?

Laters,

Thomas

Thomas,

That's quite an asian fetish you've got there. Don't aim too young or it'll be downright creepy.

Seems like a missed a bit of the same last night! I had the boat moored in front of a few restaurants and bars, but went home to get diesel and ended up having a drink. Some blokes with an apartment overlooking the dock were nice enough to inform me that some good looking drunk girls were having fun playing on the boat in my absence. Like they said, “these things only happen once” and Murphy’s law has it that I was not around to join in the action.

But then you're way too much of a gentleman to take advantage of women in that condition aren't you?!

As I am the family “black sheep” I really would not like to post my mother’s opinion.

Nevertheless, I didn’t here of any of them being so drunk that they fell in, damaged the yacht or hurt themselves. They were also obviously above the age of consent having been drinking in respectable licensed premises, so I am thinking the “indecent” may not have applied?

I had actually been for a steam down the harbour to have a look at the Athena. It is one of the most beautiful yachts I have ever seen and the photos do not do her justice. I am thinking of going back with my camera to get some better shots. I reckon if I had her moored out front of the bars I would have been “In like Flynn’?
