humor

i wont get too serious till i figure out for sure that life is not some huge elaborate bad joke on us all. and if i ever meet that special someone and we figure out collectively that life is not a bad joke but a dream come true. i will probably be to happy to be serious as a heartattack...but will have one anyway.

Sounds like a solid survival plan. Dont gamble with more than you can afford to lose.

i dont like to gamble.......and even if i loose everything and am left with nothing....i see that as raw material, and with a little help from a creative spirit...who knows, what my back up plan is.

maybe find some homeless girl who also has nothing...pool our resources....and make love like love has never been made before,so that, never is all the time.

prolly happy because youd be serious as a heart attack......which would prevent one!

i have always followed two basic rules--
never pay retail
dont risk more than you can afford to lose--whether gambled or given--whether cash or emotions

and when man sayeth "trust me"--run like scalded dog as far away as possible NOW!!!!!

ok, ok, so i s more than two--i didnt say i could count good....but i do know the difference between 2 and 3 and when there happen to be 3 instead of 2 and i didnt give birth, then one must go--loyalty is a big keypoint--is part of trust. trust is one brick that makes up a good relationship. no trust-no relationship. if you cant turn your back on someone for a minuet--dont be there-

loyalty

loyalty,is great, but dont expect someones loyalty to violate their core beliefs and chose loyalty over their beliefs(be it natural or thru teachings).

So i guess the beliefs of a potential sig other...would be where i would start to explore the potential(insert lightning bolt of huge potential diff here) of a relationSHIP.

And if i find beliefs of a similar nature or that i can at least work with(not against). that would probably be the first thing i would look "for". Of course the first thing i looked "at" would of been her hot goddess bod.(i know superficial of me) i just dont wanna start my viagra dependancy yet.

Matching Libido's would also be a big factor,it aint gonna work if someone wants it all the time(me lol) and the other one dont. Chances are if its good to great, yer both gonna want, unless beliefs get in your way(insert tiger woods sex addict joke here).

Kindness and forgiving are also huge factors that should be gracefully reciprocated to keep the relationShip moving and the barnicales from slowing your progress.

Table manners are nice but not mandatory... after all the point is to Swallow. Not how ya get it to yer mouth, chew, spit up ,throw up,or burp.

ps Z....I'm tring real hard to keep it pg-13

Pros - it's funny and a way of establishing communication and conveying more substantive ideas / matters / views to see how they are reacted to in a non-threatening and non-committal manner. As well as simply establishing if the other party a) has any SOH and b) whether it matches or is at least is tolerable

Cons - used to hide behind. and deflect more serious / probing questionning. or "enquiries".

2) Slow to Trust

Pros - Willing to take time to get to know someone. Once Trust established not constantly re-checked or doubted. It is what it is and that's how it is

Cons - aka Trust issues It takes a longgggg time for me to establish Trust.

3) Loyalty

Pros - Yer know that "crawling over broken glass thing"? that's a given. Figuratively. and Litteraly. cos' that's just how it is. I won't even go into what I would (have done) involving other people.

Cons - It's expected in return. (but on the litteral side of things I would settle on a partner being willing to wade through arms and legs with a Machete if a 1000 angry Zulu's came over the hill). Perhaps bordering on the somewhat obsessive on the loyalty thing

4) Understanding (of Human Nature)

Pros - I find people fascinating. And am pretty good at understanding what makes folks tick and allowing for that. It's why I don't expect perfection. nor seek it. Besides (for me) it's the interesting stuff that makes people interesting albeit not all of it would be chosen given a blank piece of paper........

Cons - I am find people fascinating, just don't neccessarily like them. And yer ain't getting perfection in return Errrrr....most of my understanding of Human Nature / behaviour is learnt. not so much inherent. and sometimes I get it wrong. Kinda like speaking a 2nd Language, 99% correct - but just not quite "right". But I do learn And more like Commander Data (for you Trekkies ) than Charles Manson ...........and I wouldn't lie about something like that. would I?

Now that is incredibly seductive. Except that I don't like to hear lies. Well, the little white lies are acceptable.

Wow ... this is getting frighteningly confessional. I can't usually get this forthcoming til I have some trust established. I'd like to think I could trust everyone here - but how? This venue is even worse than the d#mn phone - doesn't even have tone of voice! I admire all who have bared their "souls" for our edification and entertainment. I've been scolded once too often here to feel I can. Oops just let one of my weaknesses show.

Thanks all - I'm learning a lot.

I need to regroup. This is a lot of thinking and careful introspection - a monkey needs energy and concentration for such tom foolery!
