Re: Spring has Sprung...

Sounds good, I am still waiting for autumn to arrive and for the day temps to drop below 30 C - I am over mid 30's

Re: Spring has Sprung...

Phil your right, had a great afternoon down on the pontoon. Sails bended on ready to go. Finished off the wiring after moving the battery charger to a drier location from the cockpit locker. Solar panel has woken up from its winter sleep and now actually doing something useful even if it is only 0.8 amps.

The down side is the weed has started growing on the waterline, the hull looks like a furry toy.

Big tides in Portsmouth harbour at the moment too.

Google Earth suggests you are actually south of me (Portsmouth nearly 51N), which just goes to show how important the Gulf Stream is to NW Europe, so we don't want anyone sailing across it less it breaks if you don't mind

Whilst the temperature isn't particularly high, its t shirt weather in the nice sunshine with high pressure over us at the moment.

pirate Re: Spring has Sprung...

Well I'm sorta dreading tomorrow...
the boat looked like crap when I lifted her in October, peeling varnish etc as I'd been otherwise occupied a lot of the year...
and I'd done nothing to her since I bought her in '09... she was borderline presentable then...
I think boat restorations are starting to wear thin on me... done it to many times in the past...
Must be getting old...

Yepper. Me too. That's why this has taken so long. My heart's barely in it.
The money is dribbling away however.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG HERE IN THE SE US too. A coincidence?

70F today and all last week. You EU folks are the only people that can go from metric to real measurements with facility.

34'N. Still much too far N for my skinny tail. But I am back in uniform: shorts and tees!
