Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

does saving for boat kittty include running away from home to sail a bit, as i did once or twice in history?? is fun and doesnt take much dough. i did caribean for almost a month and i did gom for almost a year that way...while my formosa rested between repairs..

sam---is hard to call a man samantha ann..so is sam to me for now---look long and carefully for the boat you want to run away to and get to know the owner as well as possible before going out to sail....it is an alternative, a positive one, to do before buying a boat of your own.. or even while prepping yours to go .

Zee
Actually my name is Greg. My boat is named after my niece. She once told me, when she was 8, that a boat without a name is a boat without a soul! So I named my 34 Irwin after her. Plus she is the only woman in my life, that I figured that I wouldn't have to change boat name after the break up! 😄LOL

Just arrived in Puerta angel. Nice little place, heading south tomorrow.

Still haven't found my soulmate :-). Maybe she is reading this.

Cheers

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Just overnighted in Puerto Angel. Bumpy anchorage but a nice quiet little village. Very friendly fishermen too.

Heading south today with my scurvy crew, when I can get them off the beach .....

Anyone else sailing this way? I got to admit I have met few other cruisers since leaving PV. Before that I was seeing familiar faces everywhere!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

right now is south sailing season..current and mostly everything is with you--the salvador rally goes on until last one there-there are 2 or 3 more boats here headed south from here---should be some folks on your way....some already in salvador in bahia del sol--wings of the dawn is there, and not sure who else....
ourweather is turning summerish--is way past time to go---we will go back to barra denavidad until payday then head as fast as possible to topolabompo, my boat will hide and his will come join, then we do the golfo de california as buddies and repairers....
yes, is sad to say that decent and good repair souls for boats are hard to find--i think even harder to find than decent boyfriends.....dont ask ho wi know...lol..i always get bf offers, but i want my boat repaired, not distraction of ......

kordie--did you stop in zihuatenejo on your way to acapulco???? what is your boats name????? did i imeet you without either of us knowing????
