Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Oceanfrontmom, sounds like you should just keep doing what your doing. Can't go cruising tho' in an 18' bayliner, but wtf, there's a lot of gorgeous coast where you're hanging out. Must be a gene demanding ocean interaction is all I can figure. Welcome!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Welcome Oceanfront Mom. I live about 8 hours or so from you, between Spokane and Tri-Cities. I hear you on not waiting for a man to appear to do what you love. I have been doing that most of my life. Kudos to you!

On a totally unrelated and selfishly promoting myself plug. I got my thistle in the water, with crew mind you, and we had a very successful race day. Refusing to come in last we almost made it to first place, sliding in to second at least once. Color us a happy crew.

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Thank you thank you Zee and Capttman. I am very proud of myself considering I am very new at sailing, have never owned a boat before, and just got her in the water for the first time last September. (Still patting myself on the back, LOL)

Hi. Wow. So cool that this group is still here. I signed up about a year ago, got caught up with work and city life; and completely forgot about this site. Just gave it all up and moved back to Florida (Melbourne Beach area) for a more simple life. Happy to be back by the beach. Hello all!

Re: SSSSM - Part Deux

Home schooled kids are almost always several years ahead of their public and private school peers. I'm a big advocate of home schooling and what better place to learn about the world than from a boat that is actually out there seeing it? I rest my case!
