The guy stole a hunter? No wonder he didn't get very far.

yeah sounds like the same guy, after replying to his thread, there were about 20 pm's that i replied to,one of them he stated that his daughter didnt have a passport ,and he asked if this would be a problem .
i replied that it would,he then stated that he would have to return to switzerland before leaving to sort this out!!!

apart from that he wanted to know about diesel consumption, the route, weather water catching etc.

he also stated that his brother was in koh samui.

it is a pity but i deleted all the pm's due to a full inbox,in hindsight it would make interesting reading!

i wonder if one of the mods could find a way of reinstating my old pms so i could forward them to the authoraties,it would give them a very good idea of his intentions, that at the time i put down to the musings of another wannabe!
little did i know!

as they say no favour goes un punished!

A guy took his kids from his ex-wife, stole a sailboat, and is apparently fleeing the country

Here's the story

That happened here several years ago except that the fellow bought a sailboat on the west part of the state. He took it to a place on the East coast and had it painted battleship gray. Then he came back with the boat, grabbed his son and fled.

He didn't even know how to sail. He was just motoring on the sailboat. He got caught.

Yes...he sure did...his former actress wife played the custody card on Hayden. It was a different era and of course had crew. I believe Spike Africa was one of them. When he arrived in Tahiti on his schooner, "Wanderer", there were two men in suits waiting for him. Appaarently from a credit card company...

Good reporting. No vessel name, no description other than "44 sail". Should be easy to spot in Southern California.
Wait a minute...."if he's smart"?????

I think he's already amply demonstrated the answer to that question!
