Okay, maybe I'm getting a bit too sensitive, but the joke thread got in trouble because of too many political opinions popping up.

I have a personal opinion on carbon trading (I have opinions on everything), but I'm not going to share it on a sailing forum. It's not the right place for serious discussion, and if any other discussion happens it will just turn into a pissing match.

End of wet blanket, back to the jokes.

An older male college professor was invited to teach a human sexuality course on campus. He wasn’t sure how his wife would feel about that so he told her he was teaching a course on sailing instead.
Later that semester, while crossing campus with his wife, the professor was approached by a group of his students who gushed to his wife about how much they enjoyed the class and about what a knowledgeable teacher he was. She listened appreciatively and thanked them for their kind words, before expressing her surprise at his expertise.
“He’s only done it twice, you know,” she remarked. “The first time, he threw up, and the second time his hat flew off!”

A pair of ropes walk into a bar.
The bartender growls at them, “Get out! I don’t serve ropes in here!” So the ropes head back outside.
The first rope is set to leave but the second rope gets an idea, twisting itself up like a pretzel then shedding its whipping and unwinding the strands at both ends. Satisfied with its new appearance it heads back into the bar
The bartender growls when the door opens, “Hey , I told you I don’t serve ropes in here!”
The rope replies, “But I’m not a rope,” to which the startled bartender asks. “Really?”
The rope sighs and says “Nope, I’m a frayed knot”
