We have your tests back, and I have good news and bad news.

But they drifted for 3 days after the storm subsided. Best estimates based on various clues in different episodes puts them at about 10°N 140°W

Dave, thanks very much, you realise that you have single-handedly destroyed the very foundation of my boating interest, thanks.

How do you know they drifted for 3 days, if it's not in the song, it didn't happen 🙂

Driving a seriously underpowered 1.2L single carb Corolla E30, I didn't have any reserve power to accelarate and so pass the slow a-holes doing 90, who invariably sped up to 100 as they hit the two lane sections (which were universally short). The Corolla was valve bouncing at 120..!

So I sat back about 50m from the car in front, and watched the headlights of cars ahead, knowing I needed at least 200m to achieve 'ramming speed'.

Once the wide rectangular white blob indicating a 'Divided road keep left' section, I would lift off and allow the car in front a 150-200m gap, and then I'd put my foot down HARD and whip the side of the door (cowboy style) to get the poor little dunger up to 110km/h - just enough to 'slingshot' past the cars doing 100 (as they'd invariably speed up from the 90 they were doing before) and so get past a couple of the slow suckers.

It was a remarkably successful technique, once I'd perfected it.

These days, I'm one of the old codgers doing 90, so to avoid being 'rammed' by a younger version of myself, I remain at 90 through the dual lane section, and let the hotheads pass.

These days, they are in a greater rush than I....

Speed is all perception
In Florida our top sped limit is 70MPH so about 154KPH? And is common to go tickles is you keep it below 80MPH.
Two weeks ago I had to be in Sedona AZ ( beautiful geography) for work in a local medical society (I own a small medical devices distribution). In many sections of the road the speed limit was 75MPH, and I found myself turning from what would be considered a hot head in FL to just one of the guys in AZ. [emoji23]
