Whales are just like any other animals.

From the depth of my vegetarian heart I feel deeply saddened every time an animal is slaughtered.

I do not hunt nor eat killed animals. It is all it takes.

The difference I believe is in sentience if I spelled that correctly, I have raised cows, my Father had a herd of Black Angus in my youth. You look into those eyes and nobody is home.
I can understand your aversion to killing and eating animals though, but I do believe that there are differences in animals, like a man and a dog for instance.
