French food kicks butt, if the best you can come up with in the UK is a bacon sandwich.

You obviously never tried the boxed variety.........
The preservatives alone add 5 years to your life.

Actually, a few bakers make excellent ones for the Ensaimada deficient among us....and they are handy to have in the cupboard.

Non preserved preferred. Fine food is not to be tampered with.
Can I count on you feeding me some if we ever meet?

If we are Mallorca, not only can I provide them, I can take you to the finest baker in Palma where coffee and Ensaimada out of the oven can be enjoyed..

In the meanwhile, here is my prefered emergency stash

Baked goods fresh out of the oven with fine coffee (skip the sugar roasting) are my Achilles heel.
I will, however, pass on emergency stashes .

Good grief!
The sun is shining.

Will be in Seville in December. No smell of oranges and nectar in the air but will be pleasant.....

Re: The Mallorca Squad

It looks like the rain has finished here too, but it's still very windy & seas are rough. Looks like a good day to go out for lunch.
