Re: The Mallorca Squad

My neighbor The Queen Victoria, obstructed my view of the entire town today. Yesterday there were two other Cunard ships anchored here, both Queen something or rathers, I think the Queen Mary 2 and the Queen Elizabeth. All three are massive ships that only house 400 guests or so.

Don't know how much they're paying per day, but I basically have the same view. We've been getting 2-5 cruise ships per day, but it's still a very fun town and the ships are always gone before sunset.

Here the queen is turning around and as you can see, it's almost as long as the fjord is wide.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Steam them Ken. And yes, they go in head first, live.

The Queen Vic is the smallest of the three. I'm surprised they're all in about the same place at the same time. They don't usually rendezvous, and if they do Cunard make a big deal of it. Where in Montenegro are you, by the way? We did the crossing twice on the QM2. She is the biggest of the 3. I think she carries about 2600 pax & almost the same number of crew. Beautiful ocean liners all, and not to be confused with all the the floating condominiums you also encounter.

As in stinky overflow from ships and wavy tourons on the rail who drink and upchuk over to leeward which happens to be Kenomaco's side of things.

Nice art Weavis! Yes, love Valdemosa! And it's getting nicer every year. Good shopping, artistry, restaurants, history. We pay a visit every trip.

We're still interested in the powerkitty, but here in Montenegro and when we gets to Croatia, our Oyster is working out just fine. Smooth, calm, non rolly achorages here unlike nearly all of them in Spain. I've actually finding our boat to have a much more pleasant motion in these anchorages than Lagoon 450s owned by our friends. It could be that I'm just more used to it. The motion of the Lagoon can be quite jerky when a dinghy passes by in calm waters.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

What the hell is happening? First an Irishman is shot dead in the back in Santa Ponsa (now thought to be a gang retaliation), and now this in Calvia.

There is a LOT of stuff not reported. HOwever when it is bigger than can be contained its mentioned. Mallorca is not free of corruption or violence. Huge Russian and Irish gang presence...
