I told you Ken, I would leave Spain. I'd come back, but I'd certainly leave if I could convince my OH.

Irish controlled for 40 years. When I lived in southern Ireland I was surprised how many Irish owned apartments in S.P. I heard stories... being of Irish descent myself, I know when to look the other way and when to duck...

First you say nothing. Then you say nothing at all.

I owned apt there from '86 till 2009.. No problems whatsover.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

I have been looking at electric scooters to use here in Seville. Most only go up to a carry weight of 80 kilos, some at 100 kilos.

I want the scooter to be used mainly for travel across the city, (no licence, no road tax, not plating and no insurance required), but also for bringing back groceries etc... so the reality is that I need a high power unit with space to put a bag on... I weighed my last shopping bag and it was close to 25 kilos!

Rather than kill the scooter with everything near the top end of usability, I found a company in England who have what I am looking for.

Specifications

• Speed: 42 km depending on weight and terrain,
• Range: 22- 28km depending on weight and terrain
• Brushless Motor: 2000 watts.upgraded control relay give full power out of the new power pack
• Frame: High tensile strength steel frame, high grade billet aluminum body,
polished steel forks, billet head badge aluminum handlebars, high grade deck.

• Drive Train: Chain drive motor with a variable speed twist throttle.

Battery 48 volt , 4 x 12ah maintenance free sealed lead acid (four 12v, 12ah).

• Charge Time 2 - 3 hours.Lasts 26km on one charge

• Brakes: Front & rear vented disc braking system. Brake inhibit safety feature -
The hand brake automatically disengages the throttle for increased safety.

• Carrying Capacity: 290 lb

• Tires: 11 inch pneumatic tires with aluminum wheels.
and also Turbo Button as standard

easy to carry the scooter.

I am in email communications with them already...

Re: The Mallorca Squad

[QUOTE=Kenomac;2199493]Brompton and Burley Travoy trailer.

Where is the electric motor?

Its not what I am looking for. There are millions of bikes I can buy. Im not a keen cyclist and I am tired of having to pay €100 plus a month for a garage..

As electric or even engine powered scooters are free to use and there are cycle paths all over Seville that I can use... Im wanting one of these babies...

Going with Electric because the 2 stroke sounds like angry bees.

2.4 km walk takes about 30 mins unless hustling.... the bus system here is good but: from my casa is useless for where I want to be....

So I can leave my apartment and be in my office in 12 minutes without breaking a sweat. I can fold the unit and have in my bedroom charging and in the Clinic in the staff room...

I can leave my home and be nearly anywhere in the city in 12 mins. Buses take as long to get there as to walk...

Its a vehicle for me... Car is sold and saving me 1200€ already a year..
