Crikey, are they still there, I thought they had been relocated to a safe ranch somewhere outside Stoughton, Wisconsin.

Yes, but purebred naugas are hard to find these days.

Most of them were cross-bred with sheep to make those fleecy car-seat covers.

Yes, plus many were also turned into that chewy confectionary called Nougat.

No, that's their poop. The Nougat is what the nauga shat. The suffix "at" is the clue. Don't eat that.

Actually although the last known domesticated Naugas are in Wisconsin, there are still several wild packs located in Naugatuck, Connecticut where they were first discovered.

I have spent some time in Naugatuck and never had the good fortune to see one of these elusive beasts in the wild. Really.

That's because the natives don't want them disturbed, and every time they see you coming, they yell "Hide, nauga! Hide!"

They’re still in CT.

I almost hit one on Route 8 one night.

It was close. Glad I missed it.

You probably weren't wrangling them with unicorns (Naugas and unicorns have a natural affinity and will buddy up, even in the wild).

Even the google search engine can't find them without a unix OS. Really.

And I always thought they were of Scots origin, being naugu 'hyde'....

Often wondered if there's a nauga jekyll as well?

Speaking of Scots....

This old Englishman walks into a bar. He had been there a while when two large girls dressed in black leather and studs came in and sat down then ordered some drinks. The Englishman noticed when they ordered they both had strong accents so He said ‘Hi, are you two girls from Scotland?’ One of them spoke up, with quite an attitude and said ‘it’s WALES you idiot!!!’

So, he immediately said ‘Sorry, are you two Whales from Scotland?’
