Well, yes we do, but you gotta live either in the Himalayas or in the PNW - even in BC - to be entrusted with that sacred knowledge ;-)!

Re: The New Joke Thread

In high school, there was a very well developed girl in my psych class named Karen Moorehead. When they called out her name for roll call, one guy in class always yelled out "Gives!" right between her first and last name.

I never laughed because I wanted to take her to the prom. After a couple of months of sitting in front of her, heavy flirting and her telling me about 3 or 4 guys who had asked her to the prom but she refused, a pack of birth control pills landed on my desk. I asked if they were hers and she put them in her purse.

Right after class, I finally worked up the courage to ask her to the prom. She bopped me on the forehead and said, "Finally! You have to be the slowest guy I've ever met! I finally had to throw my BC pills on your desk in sheer desperation! Yes, we're going to the prom! Show up early!"

I showed up early, she needed 1/2 hr of my help "fixing her dress" after which I didn't really care if we went to the prom or not. Thus began a 4-1/2 yr relationship with the most uninhibited, insatiable, unapologetic, inappropriate, experienced, experimental woman alive. Even as an athlete in my prime, (5 varsity letters) I could barely keep up. I am still in awe of her, even though she ended up marrying someone else a few yrs later.

I saw Police, Fire, EMS, and Military rescuers during the flooding.....
And no NFL players.

This photo pretty much sums up the MSM's credibility as trustworthy news sources.

I agree! Unfortunately, I don't create them, I just pass them along.

I'm on another website that has a large number of semi-illiterate members who always get "your" and "you're" wrong. Someone came up with "yore" and now a large percentage just uses "yore" for either one instead of getting it wrong every time. It's irritating, but what can you do?

Re: The New Joke Thread

I'm waiting for a meme which confuses dingy and dinghy.
There's probably already one confusing lose and loose.

We originally had a dingy dinghy that served as a tender tender for the the mothership. You know the kind... dual malfunctioning? Lets air out and water in? We were glad to cut it loose and lose it from Mariane in a marina dumpster.

In days of yore most people would have known that using yore instead of your or you're would still be wrong.

Just to wet your appetite:

My dingy got lose when a rouge wave hit us while getting under weigh, just as I was removing the bridal from the taught anchor road. At the same time the main clue kringle tore out so I decided to hove too.

I wait with baited breathe for the the first person to correctly identify the number of errors in this post.
