One of my fondest childhood memories was watching veedubs burning by the roadside. Most often Kombis. Alloy fuel pump with easily strippable threads straddling atop a hot air cooled engine should be added to that diagram.

No offence to those who wish to reminisce about cars and driving, but it doesn't interest me at all and wading through it to see if there's a joke somewhere is putting me off this thread. So why not start another thread for it? There's no disadvantage there surely?

Please review this entire thread so you don't repeat any of the old, stale ones. After all, if everyone just read this thread for jokes and didn't post any, well we wouldn't have a thread at all, would we?

Interesting concept. I was at a race some years back and one of the racers introduced herself as a trophy wife. She was much younger looking than her husband
