Re: The New Political Joke (only) Quarantine Bay.

How many climate change deniers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

What are you talking about? The bulb is fine.

The former guy, Donald Trump doesn't believe in the eventual flooding of the coasts due to climate change;
apparently, he doesn't think America can sink any lower either.

Thus, most sheep follow whatever lie is fed to them, instead of thinking things out from scratch, for themselves.

LOL.

There is the punch line.

You can ignore reality, but you cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

Re: The New Political Joke (only) Quarantine Bay.

While we are on the topic of songs:

Here are the lyrics, you know the tune, sing along.

Motel Coronavirus
Motel Coronavirus

On a dim dreary morning

Ceiling fan stirs the air

Stale beer and Doritos

Littered next to my chair

Just outside of my window

Saw a glimmer of light

My eyes were bloodshot and my head pounding

I hadn't slept all last night

Haven't shaved for a month now

Haven't showered in weeks

I started thinking to myself

2020 - this year really reeks

Murder hornets and COVID

Protests, brutality

Fires, heatwaves, and climate change

Masks and quarantine

Welcome to the Motel Coronavirus

Such a lovely place

When we can't see your face

Livin' it up at the Motel Coronavirus

This entire year

Well it can kiss my rear

My mind is definitely twisted

I did the sourdough thing

Tried my hand at carpentry

Gave myself a nose ring

Got my COVID beard going

Man, does it itch

And everywhere's sold out of

that darn Nintendo Switch

Just want to go somewhere

Maybe have a good time

I've been stuck in this apartment so long, it could be a war crime

And now my landlord is calling me every day

Wake me up from the middle of my nap

Just to hear him say

Welcome to the Motel Coronavirus

Such a lovely place

When we can't see your face

Livin' it up at the Motel Coronavirus

This entire year

Well it can kiss my rear

Bank account is shrinking

Ain't been paid in months

We are all just sitting here, learning to live like monks

In Congressional chambers

Fighting over the bill

We need some help to make it through

But they just never will

Last thing I remember

I was running for the door

I had to find the passage back

to 1994

Can't relax, feel so mournful

I don't want to believe

2020 is the new normal

And you can never leave

Trump's Presidency was like climate change.

Every day it got worse and Republicans kept trying to deny it.

What do you get when a climate change activist creates computer code?

Due to global climate change the world is set to experience a loss in olive oil

Now we can all understand the heartache Popeye felt after the tragic end of his wife.

What motivates teens to protest climate change?

They're doing it for the Greta good.

How do you solve climate change?

Convince Republicans that rising temperatures are turning people gay.

Sorry I couldn't take the children to the climate change strike on Friday.

Our SUV was in the garage for repairs.

It is stated that one knows they are in Montana when you begin to hear North Dakotan jokes; might need to look affectionally west for some Idahoer / Idahoan jokes to liven up this thread with some interstate poly ticks.

Re: The New Political Joke (only) Quarantine Bay.

I fondly recall the first time I drove through Idaho, 37 years ago, after having completed my Masters' studies at the Univ. of California, Bizerkley traveling towards Yellowstone National Park and passed by this sign on Highway 26 outside of Great Falls, ID. After a few miles, we had to turn around to reread it as we couldn't believe we had read it correctly. We stopped and took pictures standing next to it.

I believe it still stands and is one of the most pictured places in all of Idaho. It is almost as famous as the tremendous potatoes and beautiful Sun Valley and the Blue Football Field turf at Boise.

Hoping to see it yet again on a return trip down I-15. We would often make the 1,000+ mile drive in one day, to regularly visit my in-laws in southwest Montana from the S.F. Bay Area; now we have a second residence in southwest Montana and reverse travel to visit family and friends back at the Bay.

Never had reason to laugh AT the natives, but have enjoyed having laughs With many native Idahoers / Idahoans. I prefer to call them by Idahoans, the other name kind of rings wrong to me. In the western time zoned, Northern Idaho, I have heard them call themselves, IdahoUNs, kind of Apalachicolan style.

Mankind vs mommy nature

Mankind: We will never slow down or shut down to help this climate change.

Mommy nature: Here is a virus. Practice.
