Thieves in the Night!

If you ever have found things mysteriously missing from your boats cockpit the explanation may be fairly simple:

Re: Thieves in the night!

You had me for a moment with that title. I thought there was going to be a rant for someone stealing something off of Bianka.
Video is funny to see things from a birds view.

It was not my camera. At least not yet. This video happened in Cannes France. Bird dropped the camera on a nearby castle wall. Fellow had to climb up and get it. Owner was was very lucky he was able to find it.

From the video it seems Seagulls don't seem to be that particular. I worry about leaving some small parts on deck, going below to get a tool then coming back and finding something missing. Watching the tail feathers of some seagull heading off into the sunset.

Re: Thieves in the night!

When I worked at the Elliot Bay Marina, a fellow worker and I used to eat our sack lunches on an outside table at the fuel dock.
When he went into the fuel office to buy a bottle of Coke, a seagull swooped down and flew away in a flash with his whole lunch sack!
He didn't believe it; thought we were hiding it, but all we could do was laugh.

I wonder if seagulls have a use for Jerry cans filled with fuel. And here I was blaming local teens.

I would think a deck shoe might be a little heavy for a Seagull. But, do you have Pelicans in the area?

Re: Thieves in the night!

In my area, Procyon lotor, is one of the major nocturnal thieves if one can find a way to get aboard.
