What is a VPN Kill Switch?

This is my first post here. Recently, My friends and I went through this horrible time period where a guy from our workplace hack our wifi and ultimately hack into our conversations and credentials. After this dilemma, I am very much curious about my wifi security whether I am inside or outside. The problem is that with my increased daily workload I can't research the solutions. All I want is a basic checklist to check every time and it would be more good If I can have a solution as a product. Which can secure my connection if the connection drops once and for all whether I am at home or not? Do you guys have any idea about this? and any technology which offers a VPN Kill Switch?

Private Internet Access (PIA) is a VPN provider that has a killswitch built-in. I would think most VPN's would include this. Maybe check to see if the settings for your VPN has this listed.

I use VyprVPN on my devices and it seems to work well. It has a kill-Switch option. Honestly, I think that any commercially available VPN should work for you.

I have had such a bad experience with PureVPN that I dropped them last month. They just could not keep online for more than 10minutes at a time. I also needed to change servers on a daily basis. I don’t know about any kill switch, but as far as reliability they are terrible!

I now use ExpressVPN and they are solid as a rock.

Oh, glad to know that. Well, after posting here I just subscribed their free proxy extension on my laptop till now it's working fine. Thank you for sharing your personal experience ^.^
