What We Did on Our 39th Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 39th wedding anniversary.

We celebrated by painting our boat's bottom, 2 coats!

We're both covered in paint bits, but happy campers.

The tide's coming back up so we can float it off in about an hour.

Have I got a GEM of a wife or what?

Steve B.

Congrats on both.

Can you do your bottom (prep and paint two coats) in one tide?

Thanks for the congrats.

Certainly not this time. Bottom was WAAAY behind schedule.
Last year it was helping kids buy a house, year before that it was planning a wedding, year before that...too far back to remember why we didn't paint.

Consequently, it took a whole day prepping, a second day with iffy weather to do the waterline paint, and today we put on 2 coats of VC17 and zincs.

Next year, it should only take a wash, wipedown and quickie coat of paint.
