whiskey pole as crane to lift dingy

looking for advise on using whisk pole for a hoist to lift dingy on deck?
70' motor sailor, 63' mast height, alum mast and whisky pole?
very solid rigging 3/8 line with 3000lb strength dingy is 11' 25 hp outboard
est weight 1000lbs would be a guess on high side.
what precautions should i take? any one with stories or pics of how to rig this?
also any ideas or plans to make a cradle for dingy?
