2 Dutchies on a mission..

Hey everybody,

Thanks for letting us be a tiny part in this great database of knowledge

We are Trudy and Gijs, and on the verge of going liveaboard. We have sailed a small open sailboat (Stern) for a few years, and after that came Sharkbait. That is our training vessel, a 24ft Neptun from 1974. We completely refitted her, and after a few months she is good to go again. (see the pictures in my gallery) And now we have a survey planned for a Morgan 41ft centerboard from 1969. Full keel, cutter rig and a severe classical beauty. I just love cutter rigged sailboats. She is maintained to perfection, as far as I can see, and has a recent refit list to drewl on. New rigging, new engine, new sails, external bow thruster, new tanks, recent navigation... and loads more. She is not the biggest inside, but for us 2 (and a boat pupper) it will be plenty.
We have a great Dutch Surveyor and we rest assured that he will do his best to test every system for us. So it is an exciting time, and hopefully we swap out our solid life for a floating one Most recent work is on our instagram channel, Sailingtradewinds. But I'll do my best to keep you posted here also.

Have a great day!
Best Regards,
Love from Holland

Re: 2 Dutchies on a mission..

Hi all,
Thanks for the welcome

Unfortunately we had to pass on the Morgan for now. Survey gave some things that need to be adressed first. We are sad that this beauty was not ment to be for us Even the current owner was pretty surprised. But we keep up hopes to find one.. 1969 is indeed a great build year.

Love
Gijs
