About-to-Be Boat Owner

ALOHA!!

About to visit St. Petersburg, FL for survey, sea trial, etc. My name is Porter Watson, live on Big Island, and am freelance underwater cinematographer. The boat is a Tayana 37, and I´ve never been aboard one, but been looking and (hopefully)learning for couple years now.

Undoubtedly will have jillions of questions later, and nice to know a wealth of info is available.

Porter Watson

You got the sequence right. Join here first, THEN get the boat.

Welcome.

Congrats!

I was down in Port Charlotte a month ago hoping to do the same thing. Didn't get as far as you did in the process though. Toasting to your success and good fortune.

Those are great boats. There are a couple great blogs and resources online for Tat owners. I'll search through my bookmarks and IM you the ones I have.

Good luck and welcome to the board!

Contact Randy Balcome 727-239-6585, he runs a mobile yacht detail business and knows everybody. He's a good man and honest, he'll steer you to the right surveyor, he might even know the boat your going to look at.

Full disclosure, I worked with/for randy in the summer of 2010 and he is a friend of mine

Welcome Porter!

I did the looking thing in Panama City around Christmas. It was well worth the trip/money.

You'll get a lot of answers to those questions, and I've found the members here are a knowledgeable lot.

Good luck with the Tanny!
