AHOY

Back to Sea, it is for me
I've been OK, I guess;
But, now I yearn for the porpoises
and the flying fish at night.

This land I straddle every day
is just too goddamn solid,
I used to get the wobbles on it
It's too hard, I've got to go

I miss the shrouds and stars I used
for steering and navigation ,
The red and green and white ship's lights
That I passed silently, in the night.

To come full circle and close the loop,
To fullfill my destiny,
I'm back again, and like an old friend ,
The Blue Water welcomes me.

So , now I've told my Tale of woe
about a man whose been in tow,
But do not raise the anchor yet,
"Splice the Mainbrace",

(it's in the Deadman's chest)

Thanks Mike. I'm composing my more traditional introduction and will post as soon as I am inspired, usually under the stars, not the blazing sun.

Re: AHOY

I posted some varied pics to an album in my profile. I have more. I haven't been able to write my intro yet, but I'm here and some of my pics say a little about me and where I've sailed. .

Forgive me but I didn't follow the link to your album. And in the interests of time, saving yours that is, an official bio/intro is not required for membership. Many new CFers simply read threads, and comment when they have something germane/pithy to add. You will be judged by the perceived value of your posts, not your presentation.

Re: AHOY

AAaarrrrrgh, Matey,

And welcome aboard CF.

Now, what does medphys mean? Medical physicist? medical physical therapist (aren't all of them?)?

Went to your profile, and while you are a youngie, other than that you are "between boats", no pics available.

My name's Ann, and I'm a bit crusty, but I like to try and help--lots of luck, there--and my husband Jim and I left for cruising the second time in March of '89.

Ann
