Ahoy!

My wife and I recently bought a 1985 Seidelmann 37 which we now live aboard. We had no sailing experience at the time but are big dreamers! Since then we have learned a ton and are loving it (or most of it!). So we apologize for all the silly questions in advance. We live aboard with our cat Nomy in Deale, MD and plan to cruise the caribbean.

We started a blog for our family and friends who still barely believe it.

Welcome aboard Cruisers Forum and congrats on your new boat.

Take baby steps. Don't take off over the horizon for a few years without first doing some day sails, then some over nighters...etc etc. Work up to it. Your boat inevitably needs some things and you and your wife need to become more experienced.

how exciting!
I am always pumped up to hear about people that actually do it! Echoing Davids advice, it would be very wise to gain some experience. The blog looks great, I look forward to some regular updates.
