Ahoy!

Hello everyone my name is Chris and I want to be a liveaboard in two years. In that time I planning on saving up 10000 for my first boat(down payment or paid in full). I am a beach lifeguard and have been in love with the ocean and water since i was a little one. Last summer my friend Phillip introduced me to the world of sailing and I feel in love. Even though it was just a 420 So I am here to take in some of the wisdom that all of you have. So thank you in advance for all your help!

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Chris.

You've certainly arrived at the right place to acquire some wisdom, and may be able to share some of yours as a lifeguard.

Hi Chris,
100,000 as a down payment... my god what are you looking at....
you can pick up a Great live aboard boat for 60'000 and have the rest aside for your 'Cruising Pot'.... unless of course your looking for the floating house with A/C, Heating, Fridge/freezer, Washing machine, Microwave, TV/DVD/CD/WiFi, Radar, SSB/VHF, GPS&Chartplotter, Gas Generator to keep it powered up when your not plugged in.
But good luck and happy sails....
Phil
