Ahoy from 40°27′43″N 79°58′34″W

This seems like a great forum, I've been lurking for a while and look forward to conversing with the interesting people here.

I'm currently making the transition from a dirt lifestyle to being a full time LA, being that I'm 24 and have not acquired many possessions, the transition is going rather smoothly. My boat (and myself) goes back in the water on May 15th, I purchased her with this specific use in mind, she's my 4th vessel, a 28' Fiberform Convertible.

I can be found at LivingAboard.com as well, which is a great LA forum, with many nice people.

Welcome to the forum IronRoamer.
Can you post us some pictures of your boat?

Sure thing, she was only in the water for about a month after I purchased her, but I was able to snap a few shots.

Since these pictures were taken, I've gutted and rebuilt the interior, am in the process of rewiring the AC/DC systems, she will get a coat of Interlux Perfection, and Bottomkote before she goes back in the drink.

I can post what few pictures I have of the interior if anyone cares.

Hey scallywag, likewise with your handle. Funny how small this boating culture really is, either that, or we're so obsessed with boating that one forum simply isn't enough!

Thanks....Yeh...I'd like to see the interior pictures.
Many of us have re-done our interiors and really like seeing how our fellow boaters have handled theirs...I'm still working on mine...just started the headliner and interior lighting.
As far as pictures go...the more the merrier.

Love this ugly old tub! My first "big" boat. My previous were: Kawasaki 750sx (stand up), VIP 17' Open Bow, 1966 Century Resorter 17', Sea Ray SRV220.

Here ya go James:

also, my disclaimer... I haven't gotten around to taking more recent pictures, these were taken before and after I installed the bamboo flooring, and had just started the vinyl wainscot.

Since these were taken, I finished all of the trim work, did 5-6 coats of poly on the floor, and finished painting... now I'm doing electrical work : )

Thanks for the interest

Thanks...I would never have guessed that floor was bamboo...looks good.
Good luck with the electrical work...is it a full blow "everything out" rewire?
Just did mine last summer...it was a lot bigger job than I expected.
I had a professional come over to do the smart bits...I was the grunt.
I had spent a lot of time reading up and studying everything I could get my hands on...but in the end I didn't want to spend all summer second guessing myself....as it turned out it took two of us busting our asses 5 days a week...6 full weeks....not counting installing any lighting.
And...as it turns out....I didn't know ****!
I've tried to make the pictures bigger...but when I post them they go back to this size...sorry.
