Ahoy from Portugal

Hi sailors,

I'm Carlos Azevedo based in Lisbon Portugal. Skipper of SV Noah a 86 Dufour 4800 moored in Sines bay, Portugal west coast 150km south of Lisbon.
I made some junior sailing training but I'm newbie

In my investigations to fix and maintain some systems in my old Dufour I came across cruisers forum.com quite often so now it's my time to thanks and contribute with hopefully some wisdom I'm getting from my refit works..

Anyone passing Portugal, Lisbon or Sines let me know I'm always ready to welcome fellow sailors and help if needed.
Fair winds to you all

Welcome. Visited Portugal last year. Most of the time in and around Lisbon and Porto. Beautiful country, and wonderful friendly people. Do not know when, but someday I will be back!

Welcome! I helped friends sail their new catamaran from Barcelona to Madeira in April and was able to stop over in Lisbon on my way home to the US. Can’t wait to visit again, fair winds

Hi Carlos!
My boat is a 42’ Catalina MKII. I may be traveling to Portugal in August (via Ireland) but I’m not bringing my boat!
She will be staying in Ventura, California. But I would love an opportunity to daysail in your part of the world!
I also welcome any visitors that want to sail along the southern coast of California or out to the Channel Islands! Just say when!!

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Hi Macwales,

I might sail Noah down the coast to Algarve in the first weeks of August. That's If I can manage to complete the last repairs to the runining rigging and electrical system.. You all know how impredictable are boat projects... but I'm confident that we might complete everyting on the next days in time for a shakedown sail on next sunday. keep in touch you are welcome to sail with us to Algarve. It's a short passage but quite beautiful, we will have to sail close to shore to avoid the orcas but the winds at this time of the year are normaly in our favor.. PM if you are around so we can meet
