Ahoy Me Hearties

I am an experienced cruising and racing sailor, gone over to the dark side with a motor cruiser ....... I'm still a nice person

Anyway, after a number of years cruising Australia and the South Pacific getting fed up with the idyllic, deserted cruising grounds and magnificent weather, we are bound for the Mediterranean for the 2011 cruising season and beyond.

Our boat lands in Gibraltar in April and any advice on Mediterranean cruising will be appreciated. I am loaded up with Pilots & Guides but no replacement for good local intel on the ground.

Cheers
David

PS I have posted a thread "Wintering in Greece" under Destinations, so any advice on wintering your boat .... where, how, pitfalls etc

Re: Ahoy Me Hearties

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. The only cruising I did in the Med was aboard a Navy Cruiser so can't help too much with local marina knowledge.
kind regards,
