Ahoy Shipmates!

Hello all, this is my first post having just joined. Thought I would introduce myself. I'm Lee. I've joined up because I'm Planning on bying a live aboard yacht later this year (45'+) for me and my family (wife + 2 kids). The plan is to sail away on the adventure of a life time. I work offshore in India and SE Asia for 8 months a year as a Saturation diver in the oil and gas industry. It's no fun being stuck in, or on the sea working, when all you want to do is sail off over the horizon looking go the next adventure. So with that in mind.....expect plenty more messages from my good self, wanting to pick your brains about all things sailing related. All great journeys start with the first step....... This introduction is mine. I will keep you all posted regarding "the dream" of getting on our yacht and setting off!
Nice to meet you all!

Re: Ahoy Shipmates!

Welcome aboard, both of you!

Deep Sea Lee - I know what you mean. I work as a safety diver for a commercial diving outfit - nothing too daring, just maintaining aviation weather buoys. But our dive boat is moored next to our yacht, so we also have plenty of opportunities for sailing - a weekend not spent sailing needs a darned good excuse (like we just fancied spending a whole day in bed, or whatever....)

Damo - who needs to be living aboard when you have CF for company?
