Ahoy there [emoji15]

Don't know how but thinking I lost old account so here I am again pestering you guys and girls as I refit a 48ft nic ketch to go round at least once, so your starter for 10 what's this part called ? It's on the dog leg before connecting to the rudder it's shot and needs replacement but have no clue what to ask for, [emoji120]

I believe that is called a tie rod and is a very, very common automotive part. Often it has to be removed with a tie rod puller, a fork like device that wedges it off as the one bolt is tapered and is press fit by tightening the nut.
If your in the US, I bet an average auto parts house will both lend you the tool with a deposit of course and sell you the proper tie rod end.
