pirate Another New Aussie on board.....

Hi People,

I've just gotten back into sailing again after a break of about 10 years.
I used to do charter work in the Northern Territory and Fishing/Tour Guide work as well as skippering Commercial fishing boats in the Gulf of Carpentaria and down the East Coast and Torres Straits etc.
I used to sail with RANSA many moons ago when I was young and bulletproof..... now I'm a bit older and a mere mortal....Bugger!!
Just doing some weekend racing as a crew member for the moment till I can find something suitable to buy.

Thanks George. It's a buyers market at the moment here in Oz, so I'm doing a bit of homework.

Aloha Johnno,
Welcome aboard! Don't you find that you become more bullet proof as beer is added? Racing is bit harder for me now too but after the requisite amount of beer it just doesn't seem to matter and I'm the winner.
Kind regards,
JohnL
P. S. I really don't drink that much anymore.

Hi Swagman,

I was in the Med many moons ago, '76 with the Grey Funnel Line passing through to Portsmouth on part of a 9 month round the world Goodwill Tour. We didn't get to see much of the Greek Isles, but we did drop into Toulon and Gib.
I wouldn't mind checking out Eastern Europe now.....it was all off limits back then.

I had a squiz at the 36, she's a beautiful boat. What's the ballpark figure on it?

SkiprJohn
I thought it was RUM! Rum makes you bulletproof, invincible, charming, debonnair, irresistable.......well, that's what the imbiber thinks anyway!
What you used to do all night is now out of the question because you have to pay for it 10 times over and suffer for days ....;-)
