Another New Member

Hi All, Just joined in the hope that I will be able to get some help with my research for my planned trip to the Mediterranean via the Pacific and the Caribbean.
I am a winemaker in Hobart Tasmania (the small island off the bottom of Australia). I have just bought a 110 foot long Wooden Sailing Ketch. She is called 'Last Vintage' and after an 18 month refurbishment I plan to take her on the voyage above.
I look forward to conversing in the future and welcome any/all advice you care to give, including how crazy I am!
Cheers Winemaker

Welcome winemaker.

100+ foot. Wow, big boat. How much sailing you done?

Now you have posted on here, you don't want to come to grief, the armchair aspect can be mean. But for assistance, advice, information, it's a great site.

Welcome winemaker. Is yours the big ketch tied up ahead of Windeward Bound? If so she sure is some ship. I was wondering what her story was. I am in Hobart as well and work over in Salamanca. Cheers
