Another Newbie

Hello all,

I have just completed the purchase of a Catalina 42 "Salacia". She's well outfitted for offshore work and recently returned to the West Coast from from a San Diego to Australia trip.

I've done a ton of local cruising and racing. But, heading down the cost from BC to Mexico this fall will be our first offshore foray.

Welcome aboard!

You've logged on a little late for most of the crew (East Coast) so I''l be the first to greet you. The guys in Oz and the Kiwi's are just getting off of work, so you may hear from them, if they log on.

I'm down here in the Seattle area so wave as you go by this fall. I hope to get up to the Strait of Georgia this Aug. We spent a couple of weeks in the San Juan's last fall. But there was too much rain and spent too much time on the hook to get up there last year.

Some day (year) soon I plan to do a coastal run up to Ketchikan maybe even Juneau if I have the time.

It sounds like you'll have some experiences to share with us.
