Bound for Deep Green

Hi, my name is Domenic. I have a partnership with Geronimo, my Columbia 28. This past 20 months I have been getting her ready for deep water. When she is sea worthy I'll head her out the Golden Gate. Not sure just where I want to go. I've seen most of the South Pacific, don't need to go there again.

I have been thinking about Europe. I have both American, and Italian citizenship, so Geronimo may be flying an Italian flag. Any Columbia 28 people on the forum?

Re: Bound for Deep Green

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Good to have you here. I've been crew aboard a Columbia 28 and I found it to be a good seaworthy boat and would take it across the Pacific with a little double check of the rigging and the addition of a bridge across the companionway to prevent a wave from entering the cabin. www.hilo-sailing.org has a newsletter article I wrote about an interisland sail aboard Mele Kai a Columbia 28.
kind regards,

Thank you Skip. She will have a companionway bridge, and spare transom rudder. Where is your home port?
