Cheers from UK

Hi guys

My wife and I have sailed for over 25 years on and off. We started our married life on a 50 foot wooden liveaboard in the centre of London. WE returned to land living after a couple of years but, after owning several other yachts along the way, we find ourselves looking forward to the delivery of a new Lagoon 400 catamaran in April/May 2010. Our purchase decision followed 2 great years of owning a Lagoon 380 which we purchased new and sailed happily in the English Channel.

We expect to continue to leisure sail on South UK/ North France coast for a couple of years and then maybe break away from work and spend more time on the water.

I have been a regular reader of the forum for a while now and hope to participate fruitfully in some of the future discussions.

Welcome! With your experience, I'm sure I will enjoy reading your postings. As a newbe (about 8 months of sailing and two boats), I find this forum to be a great place to meet old and new, alike.

Happy sailing in the UK

Hi Garold,

Sounds really great.

I am sure your both looking forward to getting your hands on the new Lagoon 400. They look really nice. I think the best buy of the range.

Your years ahead of me but I hope to be there one day.

Live in Odiham and have flat in Gosport, If you ever need company feel free to contact me. I would love to come out for a sail. Looking at a French cat of my own one day.

Not that experienced - day skipper training with Solent Nautical College last year - quiet, and easy going.

Wishing you all the best of fun and sun (eventually), had snow falling this morning so sun seems a long way off.

Life is sweet when the new cat is coming over the horizon. Enjoy and enjoy again
