Croatian in Brazil

Hello everyone

I am from Opatija, Croatia but spend most of the time in Brazil with my wife and 2 kids.
I've been following your posts on boat building and equipments and it has been very helpful to get a wider picture of what to use when i start to build my boat.
I am looking into a catamaran kit range from 40-50' and by the time i am done with the hull i believe there will be bigger and cheaper choice of electrical propulsion systems.
Looking forward to exchange ideas with you guys.

Roman

No ideas for you Roman, but I sure want to sail in Croatia one day. Only from what I have read, I hear it is beautiful.

You better find some ideas if u wanna sail in my waters!
No worries i pretty much have something to work on, still picking up some ides as they come along, 2 heads are always give more results.

Brazil is nice , not like Croatia though, when winter strikes in Europe we run away here, my wife is Brazilian so it makes it easier.

Hi Luro cat

I am from Croatia as well. But spend last 6 years in London. Actually next month I will be driving around Brazil.

What cat design are you planning to build?

Ivan

Hi Ivan

What city are you from?
I am thinking between Oram 44' or 48' and one of the Schionning designs unless i go for a self made design like Steven Prince on this forum.
I like the idea of the A mast and retractable propellers!

Bom Dia Roman,
Are you thinking about building in Brazil? Remember the insane tax system here (this is an expat kiwi speaking) that would see the price inflated beyond belief if you do not build for export( and even then alot of taxes are not recoverable).
If you were to consider having a cat built professionally, an option to investigate is Craftec (craftec.com.br) - they have a Farrier 44 and one of Roger Hill's 35's under construction with intention to build Roger's 12.5m . Seems to be making a good job of these cats and in particular with Roger's designs you get a very well developed and detailed design.

Ivan i am from Opatija. Dudley dix looks great, i haven't come across his design so far, i am not sure what would be the build price? Have to send them an e-mail.
Does anybody have any sites on this boat construction?

Professional construction is not an option cause of tight budget. Meu amigo brasilero gostaria entrar en contato com voce sobre esas informacoes voce mi deu, si e posivel? desculpa meu portoguese!

Ate mais
