Cruising Through A New World

Greetings!

I'm pretty new to anything sailing related, but I've been trying to learn everything I can about it as of late, and plan to take sailing lessons this spring in the San Fransisco Bay area.

Eventually I'd like to sail from the West Coast of NA to Europe, and around the Med.

Anyway, here I am Its been a pleasure reading through this forum - very informative!

Cheers,
CJB

Aloha CJB,
Welcome aboard! Good to have you here on the post. Lessons are a great idea. Let's see sailing south to the Panama Canal, through the Carib up the Atlantic side and over sounds pretty simple. : )
Yes, the first thing I'd do is take some lessons and then crew on a large boat and sail out the Golden Gate a couple of times to see if you really like it.
Kind regards,
JohnL
