Fair winds from Chicago!

Hello all, new to the forum and wanted to say hello.
Got bitten by the potential for sailing in recent years and may soon be trading in my wheeled toys for one with a keel instead.
With no experience I plan to take advantage of some of the opportunities to learn since I only live a short 30 minutes to Chicago and Lake Michigan, hopefully to transition that into my first boat in the coming 2-3 years.
So while you may not see me post here much until I have something to actually contribute, I look forward to reading up and learning what I can from all your experience. And hopefully meet some of you out on the waters some day as well.
