First Steps

Hello All,

I've just finished reading "The Walkabouts, A Family at Sea" by Mike Saunders c 1975, and it has breathed new life into a long held dream of taking my family on an extended adventure at sea. With a five year old and five month old, no boat, and only one member of the family with any open ocean sailing experience (me), we have a long way to go before that dream becomes a reality. I'm hoping to find encouragement, and hard earned knowledge on this forum as I begin to figure out a course that will help us arrive at the destination of our departure from dry land.

Welcome John!

Everyone has to start some where and as the saying goes, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

Good Luck!
