pirate Going cruising so need lots of new info.

Hi everyone
My better half and myself are looking forward to cruising again next year. Three year ago we came home to England after 10 years cruising in the Caribbean. BAD MOVE. So after much deliberation mmmmmmm we are heading West again. Our yacht is an old sea dog and needs some TLC so hubbie is our making the money while I am slaving away on the old dog. I am gonna need some help from other fellow cruisers from time to time so look forward to communicating.

Hi Minnie,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting back into cruising.

If you need advise or opinions feel free to ask. I promise there's plenty of opinions on the forum.

Welcome aboard,

Every hour you put into the old girl is that much you don't have to pay a boatyard, so go for it, and good on you. Not that those guys don't deserve to make a living, only that we need to be frugal with our life savings.

Welcome to the forums, and if you need assistance with something, or just to vent, go ahead & post. Plus, if it helps, 80% of the expensive "toys" which are now common on cruising boats, were the stuff of fantasy & luxury 20yrs ago. So, like I try & tell myself, keep things KISS, & don't overly worry about keeping up with all the things which Chandlers tout as the latest "must have" items.

It seems some fellows/gals here, will likely need some help from you.

Seeing how most here, haven't a partial of you and hubby's past experience.

10 years is a long time.

Even, if its 3 YO.
