Great Lakes Thriller

Howdy all,

I'm a Michigander and proud owner of a 70-73 MacGregor Venture 15' cat.

She needs love and work, but we should be on the lakes by fall.

Thanks loads!

I'm in the process of getting her ready. She has been in storage for years but is in good shape.

Re: Great Lakes Thriller

I have the canvas deck to replace and some work on the sails to make them ready for season. I'm hoping to get it all done in time this year....

Oh....almost forgot....

I'm getting a hold of a stripped off camper frame for the trailer. Small pop-up size for a good price. Then I don't have to carry it 25 miles to the lake.

I'm in Saginaw County

Re: Great Lakes Thriller

Aloha and welcome aboard!
Looks like a fun boat project. Are most the parts and pieces there?
You'll get tired of holding the mast up like that after awhile. Just kiddin'.
kind regards,

Everything is here. Some things are in need of attention or replacement, so its fun.

I'm replacing the deck canvas with a design more suitable for our Michigan weather. The origional locked into the frame so it would not come off without taking her apart again. So I'm looking for a sheet 6'x8' that I will make removable.

I have a little work on the jib, and she's ready.
