Greetings

Greetings All,

I joined this community group some time ago...just never posted til now. An invaluable source of solid info and advice. I am a great believer in empirical knowledge!...experience counts.

After having done a bit of bareboat chartering...and harbouring a dream for some years...I am now making plans to purchase a blue water monohull in view of skilling up and then getting out there.

I am south of Sydney down Shoalhaven way....

Aussie Monty.

G'DAy Monty,

Welcome aboard CF. Your home cruising grounds are a favorite stop for us as we head down towards Tassie... hope to be passing through in a couple of months.

Good luck with your plans.

If you pull into Greenwell Point/Shoalhaven River...and are keen on good fish and chips...or indeed oysters, let me know.

Yep, else we would be carrying around a Trade-A-Boat book the size of a phone book and trapesing to and from brokers all over the state to look at boats that dont suit lol

Re: Greetings

Hey Monty,

I am new, but have managed to meet some very helpful individuals.

This is a great format, I have been given a lot of food for thought and am even beginning to change my mind (which I thought was steadfastly made up) on certain issues.

Thanks one and all for the kind greetings. I am currently at the pointing end of a negotiation for an the Adams 45 Custom. Just finalising survey and estimated cost to bring the girl back to life after being on stands for 6 years!....I have plenty of reasons to say no to this project but one big one to say "why not"! ...she is beautiful and the opportunity of bringing her back to her element is too great to let slip.

Re: Greetings

G'day Monty,
Good choice mate. Our first cruising boat was an Adams 40. Home built like a brick dunny but a huge rig which gave it some racing attitude.
Hope you get it and it all works out.
Cheers
John
