Greetings from a Landlubber

Greetings All,

I am planning on moving to Florida (Tampa) in 2-4 years and I feel like I would want to have a boat. I know absolutely nothing about boats other that they cruise on water. Any help on pointing me in the right direction would be awesome.

In my head I would like to be able to sail (cruise) from Tampa to the Caribbean. I am not sure how realistic it would be.

I'm thinking i would like a boat with a Motor preferably 2. A bedroom or 2.

I am hoping this costs between $50K-$100K

How long would it take to get from Tampa to the Bahamas.

As I said I have no idea about any of this... Well I know I need to get a boat license but I don't know much else. So any help would be greatly appreciated.

Respectfully,

T
