Greetings from Bangkok

Just getting into the idea of sailing after a 45 year haitus.

Considering a live aboard project in Malta where I spend part of the year. Does anyone have experience with the Taiwan Clipper 42 Ketch? Considering a 1973 model.

Howdy and Welcome Aboard CF!

Malta is a place I have always wanted to see. Lucky you!

Several members of CF have Formosa 41 boats.
Some "Clipper" boats too. The names may be a little different due to how the yards and builders and sales distributors branded them.

Here are links to previous discussion threads that discuss these boats and similar. Do some digging in these, and I expect you will find many helpful or interesting comments.

There is also a group on yahoo groups called "Leaky Teaky Yacht Club" that is full of comments on similar boats.

Good luck on your boat hunt!
