Greetings from beautiful Fort Lauderdale

Hello everyone. Been lurking for a bit, and finally decided to say hello.

Currently living in Fort Lauderdale, own a 23' center console, and work harder than should be legal.

Welcome to Cruisers Forum bogey. Yea, Florida will work you for cheap too, but there's always the fishing. You have my permission to take off tomorrow and go fishing.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Yeah Florida is one of those cheap states. However tossing the boat in the water, or hitting the golf course in January has it's advantages! Right now I drive an 18 wheeler cross country, so the money is decent!

Welcome -- I lived there when I was a child.

Are you getting all the rain we're getting here over in the Tampa/Sarasoat area? Thunder woke me up in the middle of the night. There's no picking a weather window here.

Bright sunny day on the east side. Probably get our usual afternoon deluge about three.

We're being swamped with water here. Those daily afternoon showers aren't daily here, and right now, they're all times of the day and night. It's just being pumped up from the Caribbean.

I look at the weather reports and think -- and if a TS or hurricane formed south of us, as it so often does in this part of the season -- it would be fired right at us ...

I am a beginner sailor and have taken classes. I used to sail a lot but since I have moved from the Great Lakes to the Yacht capital (Ft.Lauderdale) I have not found any one to sail with. I always come to the dock with beer and prepared to work if anyone is willing to let me aboard let me know

I'm driving across Montana right now...Finally got away from the rainy east coast, headed to Missoula, MT. Wish I was at home in Florida working on my boat.

Ahhh, you're up there in God's Country. Always said the right lottery numbers would get me a sweet house on the lake in Coeur D' Alene, ID.

Still would love six winning numbers, but my lat/log would be way further south, and floating.
